Motivele Pentru Care Trebuie Să Porți Cremă Cu Protecție Solară Și În Interior

Reasons Why You Should Wear Sunscreen Indoors, Too

It may be hard to believe, but it's true, if you're in a building you're not always 100% protected against UVA and UVB rays. Read on to find out why the arguments you've heard about ditching sunscreen indoors are wrong.

Last year was a different year, so different that even our habits changed because of the state in the house. Meetings were on Zoom, sales of casual clothes increased, almost no one bought evening shoes anymore, and many people confessed to abandoning a very important step in their grooming routine because they don't go out anyway.

What is the step I am talking about? - Sun cream.

There are two types of UV rays to avoid

Many people don't wear sunscreen indoors because they think windows protect the skin from UV rays. This is half true. House and car windows filter around 90% of UVB rays (the rays that cause immediate burns), but UVA rays are not filtered at all. They may seem harmless in the short term, but over time, because of them, pigment spots and wrinkles appear.

Skin care is a marathon, not a sprint, so the next time you're driving or reading a book by a window, make sure you're wearing sunscreen.

Sunscreen can save your life in the long run. As I said above, since UVA rays are not filtered by the windows, they are even more harmful than UVB rays because they penetrate deeper into the skin. Prolonged exposure increases the possibility of cancer.

According to studies, cases of skin cancer are much more common on the driving side of the face and body, thus demonstrating how ineffective glass is when it comes to filtering rays. In addition, the part of the skin exposed to the rays is much more prone to loss of elasticity and the appearance of wrinkles.

Antioxidants can help

Even if antioxidants don't have the role of sunscreen, they can help! While UV rays weaken collagen and elastin, antioxidants work to repair elastin and produce collagen, thus counteracting some of the visual effects caused by UV rays.

Products with green tea (a natural antioxidant), such as GREEN TEA FOAM CLEANSER from Innisfree , protect the skin from external factors.

Vitamin E, another antioxidant, increases collagen production and repairs the skin's protective barrier. You can try FRESHLY JUICED VITAMIN E MASK from Dear, Klairs .

Sun creams that you can use daily

Now that you understand the importance of sunscreen, you're thinking, "Yes, it's important, but it's still the step I like least in the routine." After you use a cream recommended below, you will see how pleasant this step is when you use a cream that spreads easily, does not leave the skin greasy or a white film.

We recommend:

ALL AROUND SAFE BLOCK DAILY SUN SPF50+ PA++++ from Missha

ALL AROUND SAFE BLOCK SOFT FINISH SUN MILK SPF50+ PA+++ from Missha

DAILY MILD SUNSCREEN SPF50+ PA++++ from Innisfree
